Paper Eurasia to Open Its Doors for the Second Time on May 7-9, 2025 at Istanbul Expo Center
Following this year's success, the Paper Eurasia will open its doors for the second time at the Istanbul Expo Center on May 7-9, 2025. Organized by Primis Expo and supported by the Paper Recycling Industrialists' Association (AGED), the event stands as Turkey’s most comprehensive gathering for professionals in the paper, corrugated cardboard, hygienic paper, and paper packaging technology sectors.
Held for the first time in June 2024, Paper Eurasia 2024 once again highlighted Turkey’s critical role as a global hub for the paper industry. The event attracted over 5,000 visitors and 140 exhibitors from 20 countries, bringing the industry together for three days of exhibitions and panel discussions. Notably, Chinese manufacturers had a strong presence, with over 80 Chinese paper technology producers participating under the support of the China Packaging Federation (CPF).
AGED Continues Full Support for Paper Eurasia 2025
The Paper Recycling Industrialists' Association (AGED) is once again fully supporting Paper Eurasia 2025, just as it did for the first edition. Mahmut Ciğer, President of AGED, emphasized the expo’s crucial role in strengthening the Turkish paper industry’s global position, stating:
"As AGED, we take pride in supporting this highly significant event for the Turkish paper industry, alongside our members, who are among Turkey’s leading paper manufacturers. As an association, we prioritize creating a platform where professionals from various sectors can share knowledge, explore new technologies, and discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the industry. By supporting such events, we not only contribute to the sector’s growth but also help our members adapt to global trends, enhance sustainability practices, and boost competitiveness. With a current production capacity of 5 million tons—set to exceed 7 million tons in the near future—Turkey’s paper industry holds a strategic global position, thanks to its strong export potential. We believe Paper Eurasia 2025 will serve as a key platform for stakeholders to collectively shape the future of the paper industry."
Primis Expo CEO Evaluates the Success of Paper Eurasia 2024
Ercüment Yıldızerler, General Manager of Primis Expo, reflected on the event’s success:
"Paper Eurasia 2024 was a milestone for Turkey and the global paper industry. Exceeding our expectations in both participation and impact, it became a bridge connecting continents for all stakeholders in the supply chain."
What to Expect at Paper Eurasia 2025
Yıldızerler stated that the 2025 edition will focus on the industry’s sustainability goals:
"We aim to solidify Paper Eurasia’s position as an indispensable event for industry professionals. The 2025 edition will place even greater emphasis on the sector’s transformation toward a greener future and innovation."
With AGED’s support, Paper Eurasia 2025 is preparing to host all major industry players. Accordingly, Primis Expo has expanded the exhibition space and has already begun "hosted buyer" programs. The event will attract visitors and purchasing delegations from the Middle East, Europe, the UK, the Far East, and beyond, offering the export-oriented Turkish paper industry a valuable opportunity for knowledge exchange, networking, and business collaborations.
The expo will also provide an in-depth exploration of advancements in sustainability, automation, and digitalization, while conferences and panel discussions will cover critical topics such as the Green Deal, circular economy strategies, and future-shaping technologies in paper production.
